About the Artist

Corinne is an award-winning oil painter based in North Devon. Born in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia she spent much of her early life between the Middle East and Devon. She graduated Plymouth University in 2014 with a degree in fine art. In 2016 she co-founded Jackson and Young, an art gallery, studio and specialist art printing business based in Barnstaple.

Themes & Inspiration

The primary theme of Corinne’s oil paintings is the exploration of the female form, which she displays through a distinctive, contemporary realism style. Her newest artwork series of women swimming the wilds of the ocean hones in on this theme and is considered her most exposed and innovative body of work to date.

Awards & Exhibitions

Corinne has exhibited artwork across the UK and in Saudi Arabia, and won the prestigious Holly Bush Emerging Women Artists Award (now known as Women in Art Prize) in 2020.

Her exhibition highlights include showing at the Mall Galleries as part of the Society of Women Artists’ annual exhibition, presenting a solo exhibition at the Cass Art Islington store, and exhibiting at The Other Art Fair at London’s Truman Brewery.
